Officially Ending Apartheid: The NAACP and the Fight Against Housing Discrimination in California, 1945-1967


A library exhibit compiled by Dr. Martin Schiesl, Professor Emeritus of History. On display in the library bridge (between the north and south wings) on the 2nd floor. The display will be available for viewing from February 1 through March 31, 2011.

Dr. Schiesl presents copies of newspaper articles, official memos, photographs and other materials documenting the history of housing discrimination and residential segregation in California and the passage of fair housing laws which addressed these practices.
