Stan Kenton Display in Special Collections and Archives
The display is in celebration of the Jazz Orchestra 1st
Annual Tribute to Stan Kenton performed on June 2nd 2016 at the
State Playhouse. The items displayed, along with many others from the Stan Kenton
Collection of Musical Recordings & Personal Papers, were exhibited at the
event. Some notable highlights include a recording of City of Glass and an extensive catalogue of photographs depicting
the early days of Kenton’s seminal band, Artistry in Rhythm.
